Description:   Plate with flaring ring foot, flat resting surface, slightly convex flaring walls, flaring rim with squared lip. Similar to Agora XXIX, no. 828.
Decoration:   Black glaze over all interior and exterior; on interior scraped groove around medallion and double scraped groove along edge of rim; on medallion, in center of floor incised star surrounded by pairs of painted antithetical leaping dolphins suspended from scraped groove; each pair of dolphins spaced by dot rosettes, of which only imprint is now preserved; suspended from groove around rim alternating incised double hoops and painted leaves; imprint of painted dots within hoops. Material:   Fine reddish yellow clay with rare small black inclusions, rare sparkling inclusions, and rare voids.

Condition:   Fragment. Single fragment, 1/3 base, 1/3 body. 1/3 lip. Glaze well-preserved on interior, flaking on lip and exterior.
