Description:   Aryballos with flat base, squat ovoid body with maximum diameter below median, narrow conical neck, wide flaring rim, rounded lip, vertical strap handle from upper body to rim with a strong vertical line of incision down middle. Similar to C-1947-228 (Edwards 1975, Corinth 7.3, cat. 775).
Decoration:   Fine, lightly incised, closely spaced, vertical lines radiating from almost the base of the neck to the maximum diameter of the body. Similar to C-1953-229 (Edwards 1975, Corinth 7.3, cat. 770) and C-1961-400 (Pemberton 1981, Corinth 18.1,cat. 476).
Material:   Fine light red clay with rare medium rounded white lime inclusions, rare medium black inclusions, and rare fine voids.
Munsell Color:   2.5YR 6/8 (light red)
Condition:   Complete profile. Eleven joining frgts., 1/8 bottom, 3/4 body, all of rim, complete handle. Traces of burning on exterior.
