Description:   Cup with slightly concave base, nippled in the center, ovoid body, flaring rim with articulation at its base separating it from the body, tapered lip, vertical strap handle attached at lip and below maximum diameter on body. Profile similar to C-69-261, Lot 72-122-14 (Pfaff, Hesperia 1999, no 115), Morgan, Isthmia VIII, nos. 231, 232, 236.
Decoration:   Dark reddish brown glaze solidly applied on interior and exterior, red firing cloud to left of handle, reserved base on exterior, with small nipple surrounded by incised circle in the center, reserved band at the interior rim, reserved circle on the interior center base, reserved handle decorated with painted horizontal bands. Similar to C-69-261, Morgan, Isthmia VIII, no. 231.
Material:   Fine pink clay with rare fine black and white inclusions and rare voids.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 8/4
Condition:   Complete or intact. Intact except for small chips missing from rim. Glaze well-preserved.
