Description:   Aryballos with a low ring foot, rounded resting surface, slightly convex undersurface; globular body, short cylindrical neck and outward flaring rim with added strip of clay around rim ending before handle with a fairly deep groove on interior just below rim, rounded lip, vertical spined handle attached to neck just below rim and shoulder; two vertical grooves down handle; blob of clay applied to top of handle and at juncture of handle to rim creating a thumbhold. Similar to C. Meyer-Schlichtmann, Die Pergamenische Sigillata aus der Stadtgrabung von Pergamon, pp. 177-178, 245, no. 401, pl. 26, 1988.
Decoration:   Red slip all over exterior and over rim down the interior neck. Two rows of rouletting around mid-body just below handle.
Material:   Fine reddish yellow clay with frequent medium gold mica, frequent medium white, dark brown inclusions and voids.
Munsell Color:   Clay: 7.5YR 7/6 (reddish yellow), Slip: 2.5YR 5/6 (red)
Condition:   Complete or intact. Intact, dented before firing on one side of lower belly. Poorly preserved red glaze.
