Description:   Knidian transport amphora with cyclindrical neck bulging out at upper part where handle attaches and curves in immediately below rim, outward thickened rim with rounded lip, vertical handle oval in section extending horizontally from the neck.
Writing:   stamp. On top of the handle, rectangular stamp [epi]phrourarkhou /[ timo] M theou, timotheou is restored based on Grace, Hesp. 1985, p. 34. To the left of theou stands a symbol that resembles a large, capital M.
Material:   Coarse reddish yellow clay fired light red at core with common medium to very large tabular sub-rounded and spherical rounded brown, black, red, white inclusions, gold and silver mica, and rare large tabular angular voids.
Munsell Color:   Surface: 7.5YR 7/6 (reddish yellow), Core: 2.5YR 6/6 (light red)
Condition:   Fragment. Seven joining fragments preserving upper part of handle with attachment to neck, small part of rim, 1/8 of neck. Rright half of stamp preserved.
