Description:   Gouged jar or flagon. Ring base (broken off) with flat bottom. Interior smoothed with spatula. Slightly flaring, convex wall.
Decoration:   Top dipped in dark metallic slip which dripped to base. Horizontal grooves on lower half of vessel; top would have transverse gouges based on comparanda.
Material:   Hard reddish brown clay, common large round black and white inclusions producing spalling on surface.
Munsell Color:   Core: 5YR 6/3 (light reddish brown), Slip: 5YR 5/3 (reddish brown)
Condition:   Fragment. 4 fragments, joining. Complete bottom of vessel with resting surface broken off, 25% of lower vessel wall. Bottom burned, probably post-production.
