Description:   Vertical oval strap handle. Similar to C-1948-56 (from South Stoa well IX, post-146 BC fill).
Writing:   stamp. Rectangular stamp at top of handle, in Greek: First line: urarx[---], Second line: [---]krateus. Possibly Phrourarxou Ermokrateus. See Grace 1985, Hesperia, p. 31 and 33.
Material:   Coarse reddish yellow clay with few medium spherical subrounded white inclusions, few medium spherical angular yellow inclusions, frequent small spherical angular black inclusions, rare fine silver sparkling inclusions, and rare small voids.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 7/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving small part of handle with stamp, broken off near top of handle.
