Description:   Askos or acquamanile in form of animal with short, stumpy legs, feet with toes rendered. Barrel-shaped body, flat at one end, rounded at opposite, head end. Large scar on rounded end, with small hole, D00.018, where head origianlly attached; on back at opposite end cylindrical neck of spout with coarse sieve in its bottom. On rest of back, stumps of horizontal strap handle, set vertically.
Decoration:   Decorated in matt brown paint: on body faint pattern of wavy lines and circles. On flat end, 8 vertical wavy lines separated by straight lines.
Material:   Fine hard-fired red clay with common tiny white, black inclusions, rare coarser white, black.
Munsell Color:   2.5YR 6/6
Condition:   Missing parts. Single frgt., complete except for head, rim, handle, one foot. Decoration worn.
