Description:   Combination pan-cover tile with antefix, pan tile element to rt. Antefix decorated with pendant lotus and originally surmounted by palmette (now missing) in pentagonal frame. Parallel (and prob. from same roof): Argive Heraion I pl. 23.B, Van Buren, pl. IV, fig. 7 top rt.
Decoration:   Decoration in relief outlined with black paint. Red paint for eyes of volutes, central petal of lotus, horizontal band between lotus and palmette. Brown wash on side of volutes and base of palmette.
Material:   Hard-fired clay fired yellowish-buff near surface, pinkish at core with many large bits of reddish brown mudstone. Fine surface slip.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/4 (surface) 5YR 7/6 (core)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., full width and central portion of antefix preserved, small part of attached tile.
