Description:   Cylindrical body; sloping shoulder. Handle attachment indicates strap handle rising vertically from shoulder.
Decoration:   On body, black lotus-palmette chain with Type 1 palmettes, black, red lines, two rows of dots with a black line between them. Red, black lines at junction with shoulder. On shoulder, alternating red and black tongues seperated by dilute lines, red above to break.
Palmette style similar to Vrysoula Workshop (see Corinth VII.5, no.422-425 and pp.149-151)

Condition:   Fragment. Several joining fragments preserve part of body and shoulder, and scar of handle.

Period:   5th c. B.C.
Chronology:   A date in the third or earlier fourth quarter of the 5th century is likely
