Description: | Terracotta solid mouldmade standing female with wide flaring polos with slanted top, short curls frame forehead, oblong face, large eyes, prominent nose joined with upper lip, thin neck, broad sloping shoulders, rt arm held tight to side, bent at elbow with forearm held across breast holding a bird (long neck, round chest, and conical body), lt arm held tight to side bent at elbow with forearm across belly and lt hand bent up holding fruit (pomegranate?). Wears peplos with low curving overfold with scalloped edge, long vertical folds fall from below waist to overfold, long diagonal fold for sleeve edge falls from rt arm to side, long sleeve loop falls from lt arm, and long vertical folds fall straight from below overfold down. Frontal mould with depression on back with large thumb print visible. Similar to KT4-45 and KT4-76(Corinth XV.2 Class X p. 94 no. 35 pl. 15). Standing Kore with Dove and Fruit Type. | |
