Description:   Solid sandaled left foot tapering to sharp end above ankle. Foot flat on bottom, toes separated by incisions. Sandal held to foot by straps of applied clay: one encircling the back down to sides, another pair from sides up to ankles to join at instep and descend to toes; one beneath it across top of toes. Straps on instep thinner and held together by applied clay rectangle. Similar to KT 25-43 (Stillwell 1952, Corinth 15.2, p.236, cat. 2) dating to late 6th c. BC.
Decoration:   White underpaint all over foot, red paint on ankle, foot's top, and straps.
Material:   Fine clay, tiny red inclusions, darker than 10YR 8/4 at surface
Munsell Color:   Core: 5YR 6/6; Surface: 10YR 8/4
Condition:   Complete or intact. Intact, missing part of back and last toe, rest of toes partially broken, missing sole. Traces of white underpaint and red paint.
