Description:   Mouldmade terracotta figurine of horse. Hair of mane arranged in deeply grooved tongue pattern, perhaps tied in topknot at front. Much retouching. Head curves slightly to proper right. Ears slightly uneven. Figurine hollow.
Decoration:   Body red, mane blue, harness crimson with pink spots underlaid with white paint on forehead, cheeks. Decoration on chest.
Material:   Fine pink or buff clay with few small rounded voids.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 8/4 (pink)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving face except top of muzzle, neck, and mane. Red paint covering body of horse, blue paint on mane. White paint on forehead with traces of pink overlaid.
Period:   5th c. B.C.
