Title:   RECLINING TERRACOTTA FIGURINE

Description:   Reclining male figure, nude to waist. Head slighlty turned towards the right, back of head and back covered in mantle, hair framing face down to shoulders exposed. Left arm supports reclining body. Right arm preserved to just below shoulder, lifted off torso. Musculature of torso delineated. Crudely handmade back, hollow interior. Similar to MF 2114, 5568 (Corinth XII, p. 35, no. 156, pl. 11, p. 48, no. 301, pl. 25).
Material:   Fine pink clay with rare fine black, red, white and sparkling, rare large spherical angular black, rare medium spherical to tabular angular mudstone, rare small to large spherical to tabular rounded white lime inclusions. Few small voids.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 8/4 (pink)
Condition:   Fragment. Single fragment preserving head, torso above abdomen and left arm above elbow. Details of face and hair worn.
