Description:   Hollow terracotta figurine of Aphrodite, probably reclining, with raised right hand at side of face holding hair; wearing an arching diadem, hair parted in middle of forehead with locks indicated by short lines, frame oval face; large eyes, wide nose, and full lips slightly parted, downturned bottom lip; three locks below arm. Back of figurine is not modelled and is handmade. Similar to MF 1987 028. For Aphrodite parallels, cf. LIMC II part 1, p. 21, no. 136 and p. 55, no. 432 (illustrated in part 2, pp. 17 and 41). For fabric color, hair style and date, cf. MF 3925 and MF 1523a (Corinth XII, p. 58, nos. 411 and 412, pl. 37).
