Description:   Reclining male figure, nude to waist, left arm resting on cushion, right arm across lap holding a kantharos. Chest and stomach muscles indicated. Mantle conceals lower left arm and hand, reveals navel, falls across hips and under right elbow, covers both legs in their entirety. Left leg bent horizontally and tucked under right; right leg bent vertically and lying over left. Elaborately draped crouch. Back concave. Nearly identical to MF 4028 (Corinth XII, p. 48, no. 297, pl. 25).
Decoration:   Traces of white slip everywhere, red paint on the side of left elbow. As MF 4028 (Corinth XII, p. 48, no. 297, pl. 25).
Attributes:   Kantharos
Material:   Fine reddish yellow clay fired light gray at core with rare, fine to medium, white and black, rounded and angular spherical inclusions, rare fine sparkling inclusions, and rare large voids.
Munsell Color:   Surface: 7.5 YR 7/6 (reddish yellow); Core: 10 YR 7/2 (light gray)
Condition:   Missing parts. Three joining fragments, complete except for head, small piece of bottom of couch on the front, one third of the couch on the back.
