Decoration:   Carving (from ground line): bearded man seated (facing right) on backless chair, holds thunderbolt in his forward hand and staff in hand behind him. Probably Zeus. Similar to MF-7841 (Davison 1952, Corinth 12, cat. 1767).
Mythology:   Fulminating Zeus
Material:   Carnelian.

Condition:   Missing parts. Intact oval signet ring gemstone with beveled sides; one small chip at bottom of carved edge.
