Description:   Mouldmade terracotta figurine of female figure. Hair dressed low on forehead, parted in middle and drawn loosely back to form large knot (added by hand) at back. Broad, shallow depressions indicate texture of hair. Some hair left at top of head in long, loose roll, added by hand. Hair painted red, which extends slightly down onto forehead. Face and neck painted in white slip. Eyes indistinct, nose relatively large, mouth small, chin rounded. Long neck. Figurine feels solid but small hole through neck and into head.
Decoration:   Glossy white slip on face, neck; red paint on hair. For enamel-like slip, see Burr, Terracottas from Myrina, p. 22.
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay (perhaps not Corinthian, according to Corinth 12) with micaceous inclusions, common very small rounded spherical inclusions.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/4 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving hair, head, and front of neck. White slip preserved on face and neck; red paint preserved on hair.
Period:   2nd c. B.C.
Findspot Description:   Misc. Finds, Corinth.
