Description:   Thin pure gold wire, circular in section, terminating in a goat's head which has a loop under the chin into which the other end of the wire fits. The workmanship is good considering the small scale. Earrings with goat-heads are common; see British Museum Catalogue of Jewellery, nos. 1786-1804. All of these are more elaborate.
