Description:   Mouldmade terracotta figurine of female figure wearing a hat or veil. Hair dressed around forehead in loose waves, length does not extend below level of chin (pulled back?). Facial features softly modelled, with long brows, nearly indistinct eyes, relatively small nose, and nearly indistinct mouth. Pointy chin. Neck is long and straight. Back of figurine handmade, with sharp ridge running down back from top of head to shoulders, function or purpose unclear. A similar figurine from Potters' Quarter (KT10-17, Corinth 15.2 p. 123, Class XVII, cat. 9) lacks this ridge, according to Corinth 12. Figurine solid through head, but pierced hole at base of neck (0.008m diameter) and torso apparently hollow.
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay fired pink at core
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/4 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving head and neck. Chip with inclusion at proper right side of jaw.
Findspot Description:   Miscellaneous Finds, Corinth. Found in cleaning of old trench in N. area of Temple Hill, 1926.
