Description:   Lekythos with thin disk foot, body flaring from narrow stem, then rising nearly vertically to max. diam. At shoulder. Low shoulder, tall narrow neck, flaring rim. Vertical handle from shoulder to neck.
Decoration:   Foot and lower body glazed; edge of foot reserved. Reserved stripe on lower body. Figured scene: old man with white hair and beard, in himation, seated on stool and holding spear, facing Athena, seated with shield and helmet. Dionysos bearded, leoparted skin on lap, holding kantharos, seated facing dancing satyr but head turned round to look at Athena; vine trailing over background. On shoulder rays, band of lotus buds. Neck reserved. Rim glazed inside and out. Back of handle black.
Material:   Fine pinkish-buff Attic clay.
Condition:   Complete or intact. Several joining frgts, almost complete.
