Description:   Standing male, weight on l. leg, r. leg bent and slightly to side; l. leg against vertical support; r. arm raised and extended in gesture of adlocutio, l. arm bent and held slightly away from body; wears cuirass over mid-thigh-length tunic; front of cuirass decorated in relief with gorgoneion at center top, below two winged Nikai adorning a trophy in the center, another Nike with trophy on r. epaulette; bottom of cuirass adorned with lapetts (?), leather straps fringed at ends (two rows, upper row straps 7 cm long, lower row 40 cm long); paludamentum over l. shoulder, crosses back, front of body at hips in a twisted roll, passing over l. forearm. Surface carefully finished; rasp marks on lapetts, drill work in drapery folds and between lapetts, flat and claw chisel marks on support; back not carefully finished.
Material:   Fine-crystalled white marble
Condition:   Fragment. Preserved from shoulders to r. knee, l. mid-thigh; lacks head (inserted), l. wrist and hand, most of r. arm, l. leg from above knee, r. leg from below knee.
