Description: | Standing nude male figure, over life-size; weight on l. leg; r. leg originally bent slightly and set back; tree trunk support at l. side; wears chlamys hanging over l. shoulder; probably originally wrapped around extended l. forearm; end of chlamys falls over tree to knee level; head probably originally turned to proper l.; anatomy carefully modelled; pubic hair carved in shallow curls; back rather schematically finished; trapezoidal plinth, preserved at proper l. side; rasp marks on surfaces front and back; drill work in drapery folds; chisel work on front of tree trunk; point work on back of tree trunk; plinth worked with point. Type similar to S-1065, S-1080; proportions more elongated; torso less crisply carved. | |
