Description:   Right arm of Artemis bent at elbow with forearm extended. Hand open with palm down; first and second fingers extended while the thumb and fourth bent to touch each other, connection actually made by small strut; position of little finger unknown. Figure wearing garment, edge of short sleeve preserved just above biceps. Arm worked separately and pinned to torso with iron pin (L. ca. 0.006); pin apparently expanded and broke upper arm. Surface of arm lightly polished except for strip down back of upper arm, which is flattened and scratched with either chisel or rasp. Part of S-1999-9.
Material:   Fine white marble.
Condition:   Fragment. Three joining frgts., preserving arm from a joining surface above the biceps to finger tips; missing part of upper arm surface, little finger, tips of first two fingers. Burning on finger tips.
