Description:   Left leg of standing, life-sized male statue. Rounded kneecap, above which pronounced muscles making a deep V. Vastus internus bulging with rounded contours, descends slightly lower than vastus externus and appears to cross over it above kneecap; inside of leg makes rounded contour curving into lower leg. Vastus externus flattened on outside of leg,flattening continuing down to start of lower leg with a faint shallow vertical groove in this area. Kneecap continues smoothly into shin bone; all surfaces rounded without sharp, linear articulation. For parallels see Richter, Kouroi, N078 from Samos - earlier, N110-111 from Delos.
Material:   Coarse-crystalled white island marble.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., front half leg, knee with start of lower leg and of thigh.
