Title:   KNEELING GIANT WITH TREE BRANCH
Category:   Miscellaneous
Category Code:   T
Object Number:   10
Description:   Preserves nude giant kneeling on his left leg, resting his left hand on a squarish rock, most of which is preserved. His right hand holds a tree branch above his head. His right leg was probably bent strongly top the left, as the tips of two toes remaining on the plinth belong to his right foot. His left side is broken below the iliac crest, but most of the thigh is preserved, whereas only the top of his right thigh remains. Half of his left calf is missing. A drill channel separates the remaining part from the plinth. The torso twists from a view facing left slightly at the shoulders to a position 3/4 right below the waist. The head probably faced left. The pectorals and thoracic divisions are well modelled, with the central line making a slight diagonal to the right. The figure's right arm is raised and bent back over his head to hold his weapon ready to fight against opponent on the left. The branch is large, curves down on the right, and has two smaller branches broken off. His right arm and hand are fairly well rendered, but hte left hand and forearm seem inordinately large in proportion to the right. The surface of the squarish rock is left rough to give it a natural appearance.
