Description:   Stirrup jar with flat bottom, narrow stem curving into tall ovoid body, max. diam. at ca. H00.205, rounded shoulder, flat band at base of narrow neckcontracting to flat stopper D00.080 which extendsbeyond neck to abut spout. Large spout risingvertically from shoulder beside neck with torus rim.Two vertical strap handles attached to mid shoulderand stopper. Pair of holes pierced through handlesat base and top.
Writing:   Broad red-black band covering stem, one on lower body,3 at max. diam., 3 at base of spout; on shoulder, pairof 3-petal flowers, upside down, on side A, halfflowers flanking spout, circle around base of spoutand liip. Spiral on stopper, horizontal bars onh
Material:   Coarse clay fired light reddish tan, discolored in firing to gray below spout, with frequent fine black inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Near 7.5YR 7/4 to slightly darker, 10YR 6/2
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts., complete profile, complete neck, handles, stopper, spout except for 1/5 spout rim. Missing center bottom, one hole in lower body, scattered portions of mid body, ca. 1/5 shoulder on side A. Glaze worn.
