The sides are concave, with roughly dressed fillets between them, in the lower part of each of these, a cutting for setting something. A bit of bronze on the edge projecting between faces A and C suggests that tripod legs were set against the fillets. ; A line of whitewash, 0.09m. from the bottom, shows the line of the floor in which the base was found.; A. Dionysos, advancing left, wrapped in an himation with his left hand on his hip, and a thyrsos in his right.; B. Herakles (?), nude, advancing right with his right hand bent to his hip, and his left, covered with a chlamys, holding a knotted club.; C. Maened to right, holding in her right hand a cymbal or patera (?), her left uplifted. She wears a chiton with long overfold, high girt, and with hanging points; Neo-Attic, carefully executed.; Pentelic marble.; The whitewash mostly removed in cleaning 1956.
