The feet are clad in panther-skin hunting boots. The left leg is bent at the knee with the heel off the ground. Halfway up the calf is the end of the long cloak or mantel, which fell vertically from the left shoulder. What is preserved of the drapery is too heavy and precarious to be attached at the present (Frags. b and c).; The right leg is firm on the ground, supporting the weight of the body, with a large thick support behind. To the right of this figure there is another figure, a barbarian crouching in a submissive pose, hand bound behind him, looking at the emperor, dressed in tunic and cap. ; Good workmanship, marks of rasp left visible in places.; Trajan or Hadrian.; White marble.; Cf.
