Two rim fragments, non-joining, of Late Roman dish. Sloping floor; vertical rim, covered with rouletting.
Light orange clay, good light orange-brown slip.

"A thin flat plaque with a snaggy face, moulded on the front".
Broken at the top; the right eye and lower corner missing.

Face, with very large nose, to front; over the hair a heavy fillet (?) bound at intervals. The pupils of the eyes deeply impressed.

The rim is plain, with a broad panel, on which is an owl, in relief, left, the head facing.
