Fragment of slightly domed lid, glazed on underside. Holes in center for attachment of metal ring. Max. dim. 0.153.
From the center out: egg pattern; women and Eros. At the left, a woman (most of head with fillet, outstretched right arm), probably standing frontally, head to right, looking at another (preserved from the waist up) who is holding a chest on her right forearm (now missing) and an alabastron in her left hand. She wears a peplos and has a sakkos on her head. Then comes Eros (most of wings, back of head, torso, start of right arm) to right. At the far left, a bit of another figure. Preliminary sketch. Dilute glaze: back of Eros; transverse lines on wing.
The Otchët Group (ARV2 1498, 31).
