Description: | Bearded head wearing wreath. Complete except for chips from nose, wreath and beard. Two holes in forehead, and one in beard for attachment of head to a box or piece of furniture. Face is cut at edge to form a rectangle. Back is finished smooth. Mouth is parted to show detail of teeth. Pupil and iris of eye indicated by incision. Perhaps a satyr or Dionysos head. | |
