Title:   Pedimental Stele With Bust of Child: Epiktesis

Description:   Fragment broken below and at right. Weathered surface with cracked and flaked areas.
Rough-picked toπ and back. Bottom surface very flat. Inscription on epistyle below broad molding with erased inscription. At center of tympanum, relief bust of a nude boy with long curly hair. His face deliberately chiseled away. Perching bird in profile, facing boy to his left. The left and central parts of a pediment with central and side akroteria.
Context:   No provenience. Among marbles on display on porch of Stoa of Attalos.
