Title: | Red Figure Lekanis Lid Fragment
Category: | Pottery | |
Description: | Preserved is the head and shoulders of a dancing female figure, her left arm upraised. A bit of another figure at the right edge of the fragment. The iris of the eye appears to be outlined in red. Probably it was painted in black, and the red which now appears is the red wash (of which traces appear on the other reserved portions), preserved here by the glaze drawing which has for the most part peeled off at this point.
