Description: | Only a bit of the lower body, with part of the scene at one side, remains. The foot ring is broken away. Scene shows a woman from the shoulder down, seated to left in a chair. At her feet is a small chest on short legs, the lid raised. Her left hand is held just above her knee, clearly holding something [ADDENDA a necklace in added white extending up and to left off edge, with little round pendents below a line- R.S.]; her right, preserved only as far as the elbow, outstretched at shoulder height. At right and left, palmettes. Below the scene, reserved band, cross hatched with fine lines. Underside of foot reserved and colored red. Inside of vase glazed. | |
