Description: | Complete circle of upper part of body preserved. Much of lip missing. A non-joining fragment. The upper part of a large kantharos with a hollow bulge on exterior, just below out-turned lip. On body below bulge a garland in west slope paint, and below this an inscription: ΗΡΟΣ No trace of handle attachments on lip; were probably of high curving type. Good black glaze inside and out. Restored in plaster. | |
