Description: | Mended from three fragments; rim chipped and one side of the bowl missing for about one-third of the circumference. Bottom of bowl flat, forming a sharp angle with the high outwards curving sides. Foot small, profiled; underside concave, with circular ridge around center. Maker's stamp in center inside: ΔΩ/ΡΟΝ Fine pale red clay. Good hard red glaze, somewhat chipped, all over. Samian B Bowl. | |
