Description: | Fragment from shoulder; broken all around. Above, tongue pattern, with part of a red tongue preserved. Below, part of ground line and start of panel on body: two men, seated back to back. The left hand figure -legs and most of head missing- sits on a solid rectangular seat; he wears a white cloak decorated with incised crosses wrapped tightly around him, covering his arms. Lines for folds incised through white, but not through glaze underpainting. Red for hair and beard. The right hand figure -feet, right hand and top of head missing- sits on a folding stool; a cloak wrapped tightly around him leaves his right shoulder and extended right arm bare. Red for hair and alternate broad stripes of cloak. White for joints of stool. Glaze, chocolate brown. Interior unglazed. | |
