APC Image: AK 0907: Two inscriptions. Left: E.M. 12744. Fragment of white marble. Part of the right edge is preserved, but the back is broken away. The surface is badly weathererd. The first three lines are probably part of a heading. Right: E.M. 12743. Small fragment of white marble. To the left of the column was a blank space, showing that the preserved letters do not belong to the first column of the stele. Prof. Meritt has identified this fragment as belonging to the naval catalogue, some fragments of which he published in 1927 (AJA XXI). What is preserved on the new fragment is apparently a list of slaves who served in the ship. Object Description: | | Two inscriptions. Left: E.M. 12744. Fragment of white marble.
