Stratum: | Trench I, J I 3 walls | |
Notes: | Ca. 12 m {0.12 m} N.W. of G in same line I have begun a new section calling it "J". In J I are several Mycenaean fragments and much nondescript besides some pieces of Urfirnis. [James and Nakassis: J must be 1.2 m NW of G; 12 m is impossible] J I is ca. 0.28 deep. Pottery is chiefly Mycenaean though of a fairly poor quality. [p. 205] In section J we have begun to uncover 3 walls. One is fairly good and runs almost N-S. The others are poorer and at right angles to the trench. [p. 350] J I 0.00-0.25 Mycenaean LM III More than 100 sherds mostly painted. Generally with simple linear decoration. Colors are red or black. One piece with elaborated pattern of spiral.
