Notes: | We then lowered the south section for another 15 cm that is from 75 cm to 90 cm. The pieces brot up were of better quality than usual as found here. This is level IV. [NB 84, p. 58, 24 June 1916, written by CWB]: There seems to be a floor level at 0.85 or 0.90 (This corresponds to 0.80 in Trench L of last year) Below this floor are great masses of sherds. [NB 85, p. 43, CWB, almost certainly from all sections of level IV]: E.A.
