Corinth Basket: NB981 B14 P36 Collection: | | Corinth | Type: | | Basket | Name: | | NB981 B14 P36 | Area: | | Panaghia north | Category: | | Basket/zembil | Notebook: | | 981 | Context: | | 14 | Page: | | 36 | Date: | | 2006/05/29 | Stratum: | | Cleaning basket | Notes: | | The matrix of this basket is brown compact sandy silt with 5-10% pebble inclusions. B14 is a cleaning basket to the N of 966.5 until RT 215-R. A 0.15 m. martyr is left just before RT 215-R. This area is cleaned in order to expand into it and try to identify its relation to the soil that is to the N of the new section of W265. This area was previously dug during 2001 (NB 942 B 65). After one pass a layer of colluvial red soil with 30% small pebbles was found in the NE corner, with a more light brown colored soil again with a 30% pebble inclusions further to its S. In the center of B14 more of the medium sized cobbles that seem to form a line first defined in B10 were uncovered. To the W and attached to W282 the soil is sandier and softer with less cobbles in its matrix, so we could be dealing with the remains of rain deposit. | Context Pottery: | | Fineware. white slip pitcher rim 1; Fineware. prehistoric black burnished bs 5 handle 1 joining B23 (saved to lot) .; Fineware. ray based kotyle handle 1 | Pottery Summary: | | 16 frag(s) 0.16 kg.
