Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the NW. The soil color is dark greyish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is moderately sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   This context is the removal of fill inside the hearth 1065. The fill is very small and included only a few sherds and tile. No charcoal was visible, but we decided to water sieve its contents in its entirety nonetheless, in the hopes of finding evidence of the use of the hearth through any surviving carbonized seeds and other material.
We came down upon a layer of flat, large tiles laid out horizontally, which created a level bottom surface of the hearth. Only the tiles in the center show evidence of burning. The average size of tile fragments removed with this fill is max. 0.16x0.11 m.
We stopped excavating upon reaching the flat tiles. The hearth itself will be removed in a separate context.
