Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the E. Bottom slope of the context is slight down to the EThe soil color is dark greyish black. The soil compaction is very soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   Blackish deposit first revealed under B100 north of the north wall of the orange clay feature/oven. It lies above the same orangey clay revealed under B102.
This orange clay under B102 and B110 preliminarily appears as if it might connect to the darker surface first revealed under the ash deposit B97.
Eight shovelfuls (ca. 1 bagful) were sent to the wet sieve.
The boundaries of this context were unclear at first and defined during excavation.
B110 ended up passing over a bit of the darker surface first revealed under B97; all the way over to the pit (cut = B76) to the east.
B110 also ended up extending up to what would become the southern extent of B121. The orangey clay originally seen in this area (from ca. 1004.70N to 1005.87N) under B102 which we thought B110 was on top of, has been included in B110--the pickman removed it before we arrived in the morning. He said it was the same basket and that the color was a bit mixed; he removed the greyish and blackish patches from it in a thin depth of excavation.
So the orange clay under B102 and under B110 are essentially the same, and equal to what would be excavated as B122.
