Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish mixed. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey sand.
Notes:   1186 is a deposit distinguished from 1168, which overlaid it, by its dark reddish soil. Laid up against Wall 5334, and cut by pit 1163 to the east and 1178 to the south, it is currently unclear how it relates to the deposits south. One question perhaps worth investigating is whether the compact white clay, upon which 1186 comes down, is related to 1181, as it is approximately at the same height. In the future it will be interesting to excavate the deposits underlying 1186 in order to get a clearer understanding of the chronological development of the area and to understand how these deposits relate to the first/earlier phases of wall 5334. This deposit was cut at the west for the construction of wall 746 and might continue to the west of wall 746, as the ground level is currently at a higher elevation and not yet excavated to contemporary levels.
