| Description: | Top slope of the context is level. Bottom slope of the context is level. The soil color is light brownish white. The soil compaction is hard. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty clay. | |
| Notes: | B 217 is the excavation of the soil sitting directly on top of the apse. We are exposing the wall as we scrap between the stones. The cut of this wall was found and made clear in B 216. In the north edge of this basket, it seems we have found an intact leveling course of the wall that was not robbed out. However it seems that the stones of the apse were robbed out lower in the northern edge of it than in the southern. I have trouble explaining the missing stones in the middle of the wall but Guy suggested that they robbed out larger stones. | |
