Stratum: | Inclusions: large cobbles to small boulders, spherical to tabular, 75% at top, absent near bottom
Description: | Top slope of the context is uneven. The soil color is dark greyish red. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes: | We are removing the stones to the NW of the pit in the NW (they do not belong to the pit) because they lie over the dark red soil that we have been revealing to the S of W26 (e.g. 5210). The soil is loose. The largest stones are at the top. Even though the soil has more stones and is more gray than the area to its E, it could belong to the same event/activity. Some of the pottery and tile is burnt. The red layer revealed connects to the material to the E and continues on the other side of the drain wall.
