Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   We are excavating this tiley layer to see if it is a destruction layer (from roof collapse) or redeposited roof tile. We hypothosize that it is redeposited because the tiles are very fragmentary and they are mixed with lots of bone. The room is William Berg's "room K" in notebook 229. After excavation we concluded that it is redeposited tile and not an in situ destruction. The tile pieces are all small and fragmentary, nothing mends, and it is mixed up with a lot of pottery, cobbles, and some bone. Excavation revealed a floor underneath that is cut by the bathros in the east and has inderterminate boundaries on the west half of the room in the south west of the room there is softer soil with tile and pottery which appears to either cut or lens over the floor, so we will excavate it first.
Tile: 223 pieces, weighing 35.88 kg
