Description:   The soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is loose. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   Context 6179 lies on the east side of room west of courtyard of byz. House. It is cut by pit 6178. It lies between floors above and below and appears to be a leveling fill for the floor above. Removal of this context revealed a packed floor in the nw, which may be the same surface as we find in the south of the room. This fill proved to be very thick as it was excavated further to the west.
