Notes: | Context 6203 is a leveling fill which is believed to be redeposited Roman mudbrick, in the se corner of the room west of the courtyard of the Byzantine house. This context is also found on the west side of the south pit (which will be treated as equivalent context). Excavation of this context is expected to reveal the rest of the extent of a floor covering the entire room, except where a small irregular cut and fill flanks west wall (5742). In the sw corner was revealed (below 6203) what appears to be part of the cut and fill for the south pit. And flanking the south wall (50KJ) is a tile embedded in the packed floor surface. Wall 50KJ now 6206. | |
